Learn Media Composer Lesson 18: Migrating FCP7 Project to MC

http://library.creativecow.net/mcauliffe_kevin/Avid-Media-Composer_18 In this tutorial, Kevin P McAuliffe shows you, with the help of a free 3rd Party Plug-in, how to take all of your current and legacy FCP7 projects, and convert not only the sequence, but the actual media itself over to use in your new MC or Symphony setup. Once you see how easy it is, you won’t need to work in two NLE’s, you can just migrate all of your FCP7 projects over, and never look back.

Oh my god. Why such a long boring rambling pre-amble about how to cut a couple of clips in the sequence and get on with actually exporting it into Avid which is why we are watching this in the first place!! We don’t have time to watch all of this just get on with it!!
And we don’t need to see the letter at the beginning from Automatic Duck just tell us it’s free go to the website. And go to a sequence you already have this is completely unnecessary! Good grief.

Hi, I didn’t make the video. But this one is getting old, so I will remove the tutorial..
I read somewhere you should be able to do the conversion with Davinci resolve.. (I haven’t tried it.)
