Media Composer will let you customize the interface with different colors for many things. One of those is the color of your bins where your clips reside. When you have several bins, it can be helpful to quickly locate the correct bin when you have them color coded. Perhaps blue for video clips, red for audio, purple for sequences, green for effects, etc… Try it out ?
