Media Composer 5 introduced several improvements to audio (RTAS plug-ins, Stereo Audio Tracks, ability to view automation gain on individual tracks). At the time MC5 was introduced, Pro Tools couldn’t open RTAS plug-ins and stereo tracks from MC.With the intro of PT 9, not only can Pro Tools open RTAS plug-ins and Stereo Tracks, it can also read Media Composer locators as markers, greatly improving the communication between Media Composer projects and Pro Tools sessions.
